Toolbox talk video

Short safety talks on video or audio that a supervisor can play at the start of a shift and then discuss.

  • Facilitator note

Toolbox talk video: when it fits.

A toolbox talk is a short, topic-led conversation before work starts. Playing the first two minutes means the topic is stated well and the supervisor can focus on questions.

We produce a series with a consistent structure, so each talk is quick to run.

Typical uses

  • A weekly safety topic for a site
  • Seasonal hazards such as heat or ice
  • A reminder after an incident, without blame
  • Talks for teams that work in several languages

What shapes the result.

  • StructureA short story or example, the key point and two questions for the group.
  • LengthTwo to five minutes, so the discussion gets the time.
  • LibraryA numbered set that can be played in any order and repeated.
  • LanguagesA version per language on the crew, with a facilitator note in English.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Is video or audio better?

Audio works on sites with no screen. Video helps where the action must be shown. We make either or both.

Who leads the discussion?

The supervisor. The recording opens the topic and leaves the questions to the team.

Do you use real incidents?

Only with your approval and with identifying detail removed. We never invent incidents or statistics.

What’s your next message?

Tell us who it’s for, what you need to communicate and when you need it. We’ll come back with the approach and the scope.
